Radically improved standards and confidence in ICT in schools up and down the UK
The Dolphin System™ (Dolphin) is an interactive learning guide, which I originally created to help develop ICT in my own primary school 8 years ago. Simple step-by-step lessons allow users to master different skills, and the materials are designed specifically to encourage the use of peer support and formative assessment.
Now in over 200 primary schools across the UK, Dolphin has given many teachers who are less secure in ICT the confidence to try out new activities with their children. It has had a radical impact in my own school and is so easy to use that our nine year olds have been teaching their parents and grandparents in after-school workshops!

"The Dolphin System is a unique ICT resource. The extent is such that even during this evaluation the possibilities have only been glimpsed at. The content is highly structured and welcoming, inviting children to use it. Progression is built in as is differentiation in terms of speed of progress and level of support required. The peer tutoring model offers a potentially vast return in terms of personal and social development as well as huge benefits in terms of enhanced motivation and the facilitation of a more analytical approach to learning."
